Guest guest
namasthe, I've the following questions about Vigrahas which can be kept in houses for doing Upasana. 1) I heard Swamimalai near Kumbakonam is very famous for Sthapathis making these vigrahas. Can someone in the list advice a good shop to go in Swamimalai ? 2) What are the details one should look for while buying a vigraha? In addition to what is told in the Dhyana shloka for that Devi Swaroopa, can someone tell other details to take care of such as a) height, weight, width proportion. b) panchaloha (5 metals) proportion ? I heard that it differs according to Peetadhipathis of the Peetam where the Vigraha will be installed for Upasana. c) I've seen some idols having KuchOthareeyam and sometimes not ? Any significance of the same ? 3) Any shilpa sastras talk about these and can the learned members of the group share some information regarding this? namasthe Prasad and donePratyangira temple near Kumbakonam. Is it Tirubuvanam? 3)
