Just for your information, Rudrakshas are also available in plenty from Indonesia and I hear that a lot of them are being exported to India. With respect to prices it could be expensive compared to Indian prices. But it is upto you to judge the quality, if you are adept in it. Guest guest
Based on my understanding of Book XI, chapter III of devI bhAgavata there are NO restrictions on who can wear rudrAxa. Beings of all class and creed can wear rudrAxa. It also says that brahmaNa, xatriya, and vaishya-s should take rudrAxa with mantrAs and shudra-s can take without them. I think that injunction must be based on the fact the first three varNa-s has adhikAra to learn veda-s. Pls read Book XI of devI bhAgavata it has 10+ pages devoted to rudrAxa. As Sri Ganapathy pointed out, other puraNa-s also discuss about this.
