Dear every one,

I think Mr.Sri Prakash has mistaken panchAyathna puja with panchakshari

jabam. The information sought by Shivani Garla is on sudha (siva)

panchakshari and sakti panchakshari

What he has described is panchaAyathana puja in which SivA or Devi or

VinayakA or Vishnu or SuryA kept at in the middle and all other deities in

the manner described in his message and daily puja is done. A sivA devotee

will keep SivA at the center and a devi devotee will keep devi at the center

and so on.

But every householder, both sex included, must do panchAkshari jabam daily

after initiation from a guru. It is sudha panchAkshari jaba for males and

sakthi panchAkshari for ladies. It is the most fundamental nitya karma next

only to sandyA vandanam and a pre-requestic qualification for one to do any

other puja later in the life. The daily panchAyathna puja itself can be

done only by those who have the initiation of panchAkshari jaba.

PanchAkshari jaba initiations is normally given after one is married.

As said earlier panchAkshari jaba is for every one including the ladies

whereas panchAyathna is normally done by the eldest male member of the

family.

The earlier edition of Rudram book by Anna published by Ramakrishana madam

has the explanation of these two jaba vidhis. The current edition does not

have. You may enquire them.

With regards

Sundara Rajan
