This has been happening to majority of human beings without exception -- only the degree may vary. Guest guest
whether relationship or other problems, mere recital of these mantras without bhavana is of no use. Bhavana in japa leads to meditation and results.

Guest guest
Excerpts from Morning Meditation - Prayers ( By Swamy Dayananda Saraswathi -- Arsha Vidya gurukulam -- pennsylvani USA-- Swamyji runs a full time Vedanta course running for three years at his ashram at Coimbatore Tamil nadu ) Reprobuced from the book. Pujya Sawmyji says Human Free Will finds its total expression in a quiet Voluntary Prayer to invoke the grace and grace is required to remove obstacles, problems, and difficulties. That I can pray is itself a blessing and how I pray makes prayer meaningful to me. The past seems to have a tight hold on each of us. to let go of one's past is just wishful thimking. it doesnot happen. if one can have a degree of awareness of this problem, one can discover hope and the solution a WELL DIRECTED PRAYER. He further distinquishes between what can be changed and what cant be. What can be changed is directed towards himself and not others. like I can change my attitudes towards myself, and the world. I can tighten up my personal life is it is let loose. If it is too tight I can loosen up. I Can change lot of things. I can repair any damage done. May I enjoy the will, not merely an intention or desire, but a well supported by adequate effort. What can not be Changed is also directed towards himself and not others -- I have blamed a number of factors : people, situations, time, places, society. In blaming there is a resentment of fact. there is a rejection of fact. but the fact is a fact and my rejection has no effect on it and alter it but adds to the confushion. What one can't change is mother or father or mother or father in laws or spouse or a friend or a casual contact -- their behaviour, their omissions and commissions, their neglect, anger, indifference, lack of care, their handling, their mismanagement, fights, being left alone, not cared for etc etc problems like anger, depression, sadness, self-criticism and dissatisfaction all stem, for the most part from one's childhood. So the prayer invokes the grace of Lord to change one's acceptance, knowledge and understanding, attitudes and conditioning of the mind. in blaming one retains one's pain and anger but when one acknowledges the limitation and prays to change oneself there is a difference and grace sets in. The Wonderful Prayer of Pujya Swamyji " O LORD, MAY I have the maturity to accept gracefully what I cant change : May I have the Will and effort to change What I can ; and May I HAVE THE WISDOM to know the difference between WHAT I CAN CHANGE AND CAN NOT CHANGE. If the divine Trishati or SahasranAmAvali or the sUktam Raviji has very kindly suggested is chanted with this attitude and understanding, the world that we live in will be heaven despite all the shortcomings that we impose on it due to our ignorance. Guest guest
Pranams. With respects to the observation of the author, the observation seems to be Not Right based on the Talks of Mahaswamy.( Hindu Dharma ) Mahaswamy says that while Bhavana with knowing the meaning of the Mantras is important perse, one need not be unduly concerned if he doesn't know , as the Sound Vibration of the mantras by itself while chanting would yield results. Un quote : We should remember that all of us have taken this body as per our choice with different Karmas in our backdrop and as a result of these accumulated tendencies / impressions of the complex mind , all can not have a Bhavana of a yogi or a Bhakthi of Meerabhai. If one tends to think that way, then no soul would progress a bit. The very fact that somebody thinks of Devi when a problem creeps up , that itself is a limited Kamya Bhakthi and when it matures, such persons realising the limited nature of Kamya Bhakthi would progress towards the Nishkamya bhakthi with the attitude of Prasada Bhuddhi. This may be in the immediate birth or may be after several births depending on the status of the Karmic Mind. With our limited insignificant mind where else we can go when there is a problem , other than to Devi's lotus feet.
