Namah Shivaya

Thses are the three 'fires' ( thapa) , i think referred to in that most

beautiful name -

"Tapatryaagni santapta samahladana chandrika"-

She is the moon that showers the nectar cooling down those burnt by the three

fires-the three kinds of suffering you have referred to.

Thanks for reminding me of that most beautiful name- one of my favorites from

the Sahasranama.

Namaste,

Thanks for the reply.

In sAmkhya, duHkha is classified as Adhi-Atama, Adhi-bhUta,

and Adhi-daiva.

Then (in keeping with your explanations)

Adhi-Atmika duHkha - pain arising from internal cause

(self is unfavourable)

Adhi-bautika duHkha - pain arising from external manifest cause

(elements are unfavourable)

Adhi-daivika duHkha - pain casued by external unseen cause

(daiva, destiny is unfavourable)

Do any srI-vidyA texts deal with this subject?

Shrinivas

Namasthe

What quickly comes to mind is LS Namavali , 551, 552and 876

Sarva Viyadhi Prashamani -- 551, Sarva Mrithyu Nivaarini -- 552 and Niramaya --

876

LS 551-- She the only One who Controls all diseases of all types mentioned in

the mail.

LS 552 -- Death could be premature, due to the reasons as mentioned by Gadkari

ji or at maturity due to age. Only She can prevent both.In the first case by

preventing the subject , as we know it commonly as the providential escape and

in the second case All which is born is bound to Die and the exceptions are due

to Her Will --- making the Jiva realise his or her true SELF and at that stage

the Karmas cannot act as the jiva would not be subjected to have a body in

future through rebirth. Even the Prarabdha karma would not affect, as it is

burnt due to the knowledge, as the Jiva has realised that it is not the body.

Such Jivas have no expectation from the body and are above action and inaction

where as an ordinary jiva is disturbed positively or negatively for every

action.

She is all knowledge and resides as Amba Om Consciousness in the hearts of all

Jivas. The faculty of understanding and unfolding of this consciousness comes by

Her Grace without which we retain, without purpose the unwanted memory and

impressions of our earlier births . She the ONLY ONE is the healing balm of all

ills of the world which is rooted in these Complex cycles of the Cosmic Laws of

Karma and Her grace alone delivers one from this chronic disease and confers the

perennial bliss.

LS 876 -- She is beyond any diseases and therefore She is as per Namavali LS 551

and 552.

Some other Sahasranamas call her as "Vaidyamata" -- The mother as the source of

healing touch in all medicines or the one relating to the healng power in the

practice of medicine.

Sri Vidya scriptures are the essence or the nector of all Sruthies. also pl

refer to the Phalasruthy in this regard.
