The Lalitha Sahranamavali 294 is ‘ Buvaneshwari “, the subject matter of this

mail.

 

 

 

It means that She is the presiding deity or ruler or the Queen of the Cosmos.

All the universe is her body and all beings are ornaments on her infinite being.

 

 

 

Our scriptures speak of fourteen Buvanas or dimensions in the cosmos such as

athalam, vithalam, suthalam, thalathalm, mahathalam,rasathalam, pathalam which

are below the earthly dimension and the dimensions which are above the earth are

bhuvarloka, suvarloka, mahaloka, janoloka, thapoloka, and Sathya loka and

together with this earth constitutes the Cosmos and the Eshwari who operates in

this cosmos to Her laws is Bhuvaneshwari.

 

 

 

Bhvanam also means the Earth, Swargam, the elements such as water, space and

various other meanings. She is the Supreme of all these. So She is

Bhuvaneshwari.

 

 

 

Her Bhja Mantra is “ HREEM “ also known as Ekakshari or the Maya Bhijam. This

beejam can be split as Ha representing the beeja of space , Ra the beeja of

Fire, EE the bhija of water. The one who created all these therefore

Bhuvaneshwari.

 

 

 

The beeja Hreem is also known as lajja bijam, chinthamani bijam.

 

 

 

Bhuvaneshwari is the fourth power of the Dasha Maha Vidya after Dhakshina Kali,

Tara and Tripura Sundari. She is said to have fed the Ganapathy Kavaya Kanda

Muni with honey due to which the Muni owes his extraordinary power of composing

in Sanskrit verses.

 

 

 

She is known in Vedas as Aditi . She is the Cosmic womb or space and gives birth

to all things filling this ever expanding space whether it is matter or gas or

liquid or anything. Her seat in our body is She dwells within the heart. Or the

heart center on the right side of the chest as revealed by Yogies. She is the

Self Awareness.

 

The modern physicists have revealed that space is the primal matter, which is

the root of all elements like earth, and water which are but merely densified

space.

 

 

 

She is also Maya and the effect she creates by delusion was seen in the last
