Guest guest
Namasthe. The entite gamut of Upasana need not be puja alone but comprises of Dhyanam,Japam,Puja ,homams and other connected activities like the nithya, nymythya karmas also. Pujas need not be Internal alone as pointed in two mails. It can be external or internal which can be as para, apara and also para para pujas. Para para pujas could be done by Yogies and avtars like paramahamsa only .. It is said that the external pujas of Sri Vidya awakens or unfolds the internal realisation of Amba Consciousness. Therefore external and internal are equally effective. ( Pl See Maha swamy's commentary on nava varana puja ) The Sri Vidya Sadhana is a way of life and compared to a village lady, when carrying water on her head and shoulders , from a distant place and while being actively engaged in discussions with her friends, invariably makes sure to keep her pots safe. Like wise a sadhak while engaged in worldly activities has to ensure his Upasana without fail. Some people view out of ignorance puja, as empty rituals. they have to see the commentaries of Maha Swamy in this regard to have to correct understanding. They are not mere set of Mechanical spiritual actions. .. HH Chidhanandar used the coconut shells not as per Kerala Sampradayam as pointed in the mail but to keep the matters utmost confidential . Had he used the proper patra sadhanam , as prescribed to the thousands of his own direct Sihyas, there could have been a curiosity to know what he does with those. Jai Para Ganapathy Satish <satisharigela wrote: Namaste, One's Upasana should be protected with utmost secrecy which is >called as " Rahasya Tarpanam " and She is pleased ony with such >worship. According to another commentary on LS tarpaNa here is to be understood in the sense of pUja. Hence rahasya pUja. One who receives secret pUja. Bhaskara raya(who is a kaula) does not mention any libation. As shri Ganapathyji pointed out, this name has to do with internal worship. > >and his Patra Sadhanam for the puja comprised of empty shells of >the coconut. -- This is Rahasya Tarpanam. Coconut shells seems to be acording to the Kerala sAmpradAya. pAtra is different for gauDa(Bengal) sAmpradAya, and a sphATika pAtra seems to be in usage in Kashmir sAmpradAya.
