By the infinite grace of the Shiva dampathi (divine couple) and full blessings

of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Shringeri Sharada Peetam - Shri Shri Shri

Bharathi Thirtha Mahasannidhanam, Shri S.M. Lakshmi Narayana Bhat (Anjaneya

Upasaka) has been successfully conducting maha yajnas since 1995. In the

previous years, rare mahayajnas like “koti shiva panchakshari yajna”, “koti

Gayathri yajna”, “chatur veda sanhitha yajna”, “laksha modaka ganapathy yajna”,

“sahasra chandika yajna”, “athi rudra swahakara mahayajna” etc were conducted as

ordered by shri Shringeri Mahasannidhanam.

On the 10th anniversary of this annual event, Shri Shaakala Rk Sanhitha

(Rigveda) Mahayaaga, Shri Shatha Chandika Mahayaaga and Shrii Maha Rudra Yaaga

have been organized from 20th April 2005 to 24th April 2005, in the temple

premises of Shri Durga Parameshwari - Shri Mallikarjuna Swami in Shriroor

village, Tirthahalli Taluk of Shimoga district, Karnataka State, Bharath

(India).

This venue is amidst the thick forests of Western Ghats [sahyadri] and one who

attends the Yajna would certainly feel himself to be present in some Maharshi’s

ashram in the Kritha Yuga – such is the divine ambience of the place. During the

first few years, there were absolutely no modern amneties (except electricity)

and I was blessed to live in the lap of Mother Nature for a week’s time. Now

things have changed a little but for the serene ambience of the place. I hereby

urge all devotees and followers of our great Hindu Dharma to participate in this

divine event and earn the blessings of Shiva Dampathi.
