That is only for one year. Posts on other topics are allowed but limited to only one post per person any given day. "The principal goal of this discussion group is to study the devotional works on shrImAtA and Lord shiva thereby enabling the members to worship them (shivAbhyAm) better. Neither the owner nor me as far as I know hold that LS is something that can be distributed like above. I agree that it is to be kept secret. However, am not sure if discussion of the names can be a taboo. That is because most names in the LS can be found in other sahasranamas too which are not considered rahasya etc. Given that, I wonder what difference would it make. People can always refrain from giving away esoteric explanations that are meant only for initiates. > LS itself prohibits you from doing this. I like to remind that only Devi/Shiva bhaktas are allowed into the group. Unlike other groups, any one who clicks the "join this group" button is not admitted here. I do not know if Ravi has plans of making the group archives private/non-public in future. >This is for practice. Yes, We > have plenty of wonderful commentaries and discourses on this maha > sloka. The subject of discussion need not be just nama-s. The pUrva pIThika and uttara pIThika are also the subject of discussion You already contributed by raising the issue of secrecy of LS. I agree that LS is only for initiates. The pUrva pIThikA clearly says "upAsakAya dAtavyaM.." meaning the stotra is meant only for upAsakA-s. Clearly an upAsaka is one who is initiated into devI mantra(s). Regards, Satish.
