Guest guest
Priya Mahaasayaah, I wish to present some of my conclutions about the secrecy of the Lalitha Sahasranamah and some others too in this connection. Lalitha Rahasya sahasranama should not be interpreted as secret names here. The word ‘rahasya’ indicates here as :- “Ra”- represents to the Agni mandalam; “Ha”-represents to the Suryamandalam and “Sa”-represents to the Soma mandalam- in total, “Rahasya” means that belonging or pertaining to the mandala thraya ie., the form or structure of the body of Lalitha. In this connection, it is not out of place to remind about the Vyasa bhagawan naming the BrahmaSutras as “Saareeraka Meemaamsa” ie., everything mentioned in it is about the body structure from the earth to the Siva tattwa. In the same way, this LRSN also is dealing with the structure and details of the Self (athma) only. We need not be so horribly afraid of maintaining the secrecy of the LS. If that is so, what about the printing and selling of so many copies of it in the open market? The word “Guhya” need not mean as secret only. It also means as Gopyam. ie., kept only for the offering or oblation for the Devatha. In summery, we have to read the LS with full conciousness of the Devata only, and with a sense of understanding the deity with the help of these names. Generally, we always submit our Japa to the Maheswara or Janardhana with the mantra as “Guhyatiguhya gopta/goptri twam grihaanaasmat kritam japam---” etc. Here Guhya means Gopyam ie., what we render as oblations to the deity. Atiguhya means – what the deity in return give us as boons like Bhoga and Moksha. Only the Devi has to protect and safeguard them both. Of course whatever is going on as Puja or Anubhuthi is only limited to the deity and the Saadhaka. That is why we drop a curtain by saying “Avagunthitha Bhava” in the beginning itself. Regarding the Laksha archana and Koti archana, so many ealders are reiterating again and again that with out the Anubhuthi, what ever the number you utter out the names or the mantra, it will all be simply futile. For the common man it is not possible at all to recite Koti naamaas at a strech. There are some secret formulae which has to be known only through the Guru, which will certainly give results to that effect. sriparasukhanandanadha krishnarao.lanka (sriparasukhanandanadha)
