LS – 335 “ Veda VedYAA

 

 

 

She who is Known through Vedas.

 

 

 

The Vedas are only ‘ One “ but codified and complied for convenience as Four

numbers -- Rig, Yajus, Sama and Athvana Vedas by Sage Veda Vyaas.

 

 

 

The entrance to the Abode of Ambaa ji “ Sri Nagaram “ has four entrances and

these are the four Vedas as aforesaid. One has to go through (knowledge of Vedas

) these entrances to know Her. – Hence Veda Vedyaa.

 

 

 

In the Bindu of Sri Chakra we worship the Aamnaya Devathas ( Vedic deities ) .

They are Shuddha Vidya, Sowbhagya Vidya, Lopa Mudra Vidya, Thureeamba Vidya,

Unmodini, Bhodhini, Kunchika Vidya. Kalika Devies are heading the Samaya

Vidyas. As she is realized through these Vidyas she is Veda Vedyaa.

 

 

 

She is also known through Vedas that are equal with the formulae taught by the

AGAMAS. – That is Veda Vedyaa.

 

 

 

General Information :

 

 

 

What does VEDA consists of ?

 

 

 

Vedas are the very breath of Eshwara. Vedas means Knowledge. These are Shruthi –

That which was heard and ( hearable) from space and passed on from generation to

generation through the Guru -- Sishya Paramapara, when there were neither

writing tools nor media to write what was said. We have lost a major part of it

owing to our negligence but there is a revival.

 

 

 

But during Kali Yuga the learning would be so weak that when Vedas would be on

the verge of extinction,it is said that Maha Vishnu would take the next Avtar--

Kalki and he would be born in a Brahmin family near Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu

,to revive the Vedas . ( From Hindu Dharma of Maha swamy )

 

 

 

Vedas mainly contain –

 

 

 

Samhitas : Basic texts for chanting, hymns, formulas etc.

 

 

 

Brahmanas : Instructions for performance of Vedic Rituals.

 

 

 

Aranyakas : These are Mantras and also tell us the interpretations of Rituals.

 

 

 

Upanishads : revelation of the ULTIMATE TRUTH through “ Maha Vaakyas “ and ways

to realize this. Upanishads means sit down near. There are more than 108

Upanishads. Important ones are Isa, Katha, Keno, Prasna, Mundaka, Mandukya,

Taitriya, Chandogya, Brihad aranyaka. Maitri and few more.

 

 

 

There are also eleven minor Upanishads and few are Yoga Tattva, Dhyanabindu, and

Nada Bindu. Dhyana Bindu deals with the contemplation of Sound OM.

 

 

 

What are “ Agamas “ ?

 

 

 

Agamas means scriptures literally. These are called Smriti (that which is

remembered) literature dealing with the Forms of God worship and prescribe

detailed procedures and discipline for the devotee.

 

 

 

While there are many agamas it can be grouped into three main groups according

to the Form of worship Viz – Vishnu – Shiva and Ambaa or Shakthi.

 

 

 

Shaivites have 28 agamas and 108 upagamas and Shaktiates recognize 77 apart from

the many tantric scriptures.

 

 

 

Vishnavites consider Pancha Ratra to be authoritative.

 

 

 

Agamas consists of Philosophy, Mental discipline, Rules regarding Shilpa

shastras and temple construction and Religious practices for Self Realization.
