Guest guest
No name repeats itself in LS. This is an import point one should bear in mind while reading the text. First name is: kaivalyapadadAyinI (625) and other occurrence of this is as phrase in the name: anarghya kaivalya padadAyinI (926) There are sUtra-s known as chalAxara sUtra-s and text known as paribhASha based on the former that are used to understand how the 1000 names are to be extracted from the sahasranAma. Coming back to the name, it is interpreted in more than one way. anarghya means priceless or invaluable. Sometimes texts take it as anarghyAkaivalyapadayinI and interpret based on that. That is as anarghya akaivalyapadadAyinI. Guest guest
Look at the namavali in times of doubt. The namavali for the first is "kleemkaryai namaha" kevalayai namaha guhyayai namaha kaivalya padha dhaayinyai namaha For the second line, it is as follows: "kaulinyai namaha" kevalayai namaha anargya kaivalya padha dhaayinyai namaha" Therefore, the same naama is not repeated. Guest guest
Please I am not being offensive but it should be pada daayini and not "padha dhaayini"is it not? why this "dha" where it should be "da". After all these mantras are shabda pradhana is it not? So should we not be careful when we translate? Either we should be accurate or we should say "bhaavagraahI janaardana." Guest guest
That is why we recommend everyone to try their best to use ITRANS transliteration scheme. http://www.aczoom.com/itrans/ On 6/25/05, sankara menon <kochu1tz wrote: > Please I am not being offensive but it should be pada daayini and not > "padha dhaayini"is it not? why this "dha" where it should be "da". >
