dear members,

shri varahi devi is to be worshipped

at night. if so, the does her navaratri pooja begin on

6th night as the amavaasta thithi ends in the

evening.or does her navaratri pooja begin on 7th

I am not sure what exactly you mean. But as far as I know there are

two different vArahi rituals. The five day rite concluding in the

pa~nchami and the nine day rite that i believe you are talking about.

 

In the latter, day one begins with a pUja to chaNDoChaNda (a gaNa of

vArAhI), madasAgara and kurukulla. From day 2 onwards the 8 vArAhI

shaktis are worshipped day by day. In the mornings bhairavas are

offered piNDas and the dhAtunAthAs are also worshipped on each night.

 

If one is not conversant with the worship one may merely recite one

shloka of vArAhi strotra on every one of 9 nights
