I was merely trying to get at the significance of the namA, where other bhkatas were were concentrating on whether mAta or pitA is implied. Sri rAdhAkIRna zastrigal suggests the interpretation as given by sri gaNpathi and also he gives the meaning for "vyAja" as reason. When I wrote my previous letter I did not consult any authorities but what unfortunately or fortunately what was always sticking in my mind - as unsolicited limitless ( and without any expections) karuNA of Sri mAtA, which being the first name that arises though the mouths of vzinI devatAH and which says it all and is par excellence. Again this name " avyAjakaruNApUrapUrita' which occurs in the Her aSTHotram always make me pause and be thankful. As I had said in my introduction I am a novice and I wrote the mail because it happened to be this particular nAma. I would appreciate if someone gives the nivacana for the word 'VyAja". dhayavadaH Jambunathan
