Guest guest
many pranams to all my humble submission is below. please correct me if you find any mistake which will be present there as i am an ignorant in this field. LS : 404 bhakta hArda tamObhEdha bhAnumat bhAnusantatih bhakta hArda – in devotees' hearts tamO – darkness - agnAna – ignorance, dukkha (sorrow etc) , bhEdha – destroys bhAnumat – sUryA (bhAnu means – light rays – bhAnumat means one who has the light rays – that is sun) here it is ambA bhAnusantatih – collection or group of rays – ambA herself is the light rays 1) ambA is the groups / lines of light rays destroys the darkness in the hearts of the devotees here poetically it is described that srImAtA destroys the ignorance, sorrow. Also it can be noted that it is not a single ray, it is lines and lines of rays (santatih). (in a lighter vein, it can be said that one or the other ray will definitely destroy our sorrow / ignorance) we can never be deprived of her karunA / blessings) 2) If we take her as sun, she is the sun. as per gAyatri mantra, the inner paramArtha swarOpA (bharghah) is ambA only. 3) She destroys the sorrow , fear, etc from the hearts of her devotees. Before clearing the ignorance (agnAna), the worldly sorrows and fears should be destroyed and mAtA does the same. This nAmA gives a great assurance that we can get rid of all our worldly sorrows with her. Not only sorrows ….. 4) As kAnchi AchArya said (deivatthin kural) the greatest sorrow or fear for us is agnAnA that is dvaita bhAvA. She destroys that and with that destruction all our sorrows, the fear for the cycles of lifes and deaths are also getting destroyed. Comparison : saint kumaraguruparar says " aganthaik kizhangai agazhnthedukkum thozhumbar uLak koyirkkErtum viLakkE" (the light lit by the devotees who dug out from their hearts the ahanhAra with its roots) abhirAmi bhattar says " en manatthu vanjattu iruLEdum indri oLi veLiyAga irukkum undran aruL" (her karnuA is like the skyful of light in my heart removing "all" the darkness) he also says "en pAsatthodarai ellAm vandu ari sindura vannatthinAL" (she is the one who is in sidhUra colour who destroyed all my chain of my attachments) when LS describes her as arrays of rays, he describes her as the water which destroyed all his sins/ all dirts from his heart (ahankArA, mamakArA) – (nenjatthu azhukkai ellAm nin arut punalAl thudaitthanai) with many many pranamas vaidyanathan
