malayAcala vAsinI

 

1) one who resides at "malaya parvatA" (mountain)

2) the malaya parvathA is a part of mountains in kerala state.

She is called as malayAlaya bhagavathi (malayAla bhagavathi)

3) because of agastyA's request sivA and pArvati reside at

malaya parvathA ever.

 

 

It is also notable that the father of mInAkshi dEvI, king

malayadwajA pAndya is so called because he is having the mountain as

symbol on his flag. he worshiped dEvi and got the dEvi as his

daughter.

 

 

 

LS 460

 

naLinI

 

1) one who is like lotus. The feet, hands, face and eyes of

mAtA are like lotuses. she has been described as the lotus itself.

2) She is in the form of ganges (gangA) and one of the names of

the ganges is nalinI

3) The dEvi worshipped by the king nalA.
