Guest guest
Part -2 many pranams to all further to my submission last time regarding 3 LS namAs as part 1, i am submitting to you now the following LS 77 kAmEswara mukhAlOka kalpita shrI gaNEswarA by seeing the face of kAmEswarA, she created gaNEswara. (the prAsA (rhyme) kAmEswarA and gaNEswara and the words mukha AlOka & kalpita are the delight for sanskrit scholars) when bhanDhAsura was on the loosing phase, he asked vishukrA to install vigna yantrA into shakti army. vishukrA installed the vigna yantrA in the middle of the shakti army. because of this yantrA, the shakti army got 8 guNAs (laziness, inferiority complex, feeling tired, sleep, lack of alertness, illusion, negligence (carelessness) , lack of initiation (we can note that our good guNAs which are called as shakti army also can get affected by these and we will lose fighting the devilish forces in our Atmic war). Army protested and rejected the commands of the chief (dhandanAtA and mantriNI). when mantriNI reported this to mAtA, she with pure love looked at the face of kAmEswarA. gaNapati/ gaNEswara was created (kalpita – the word used in LS). he came in a glittering form , red (sindUrA in colour) with elephant head, with 10 hands carrying (pommagranate, gatAyudhA, sugarcane bow, sULA, disc, conch, pAcA, water lily, paddy, his own tusk and in his trunk carrying ratna kalasA, with vallbhA dEvi or sidha lakshmi. he destroyed the yantrA and the army got back their forms and continued the war. Comparison : tiruvalivalam kshEtra tEvArAm says the creation of mahagaNapathy as "pidiyadan uru umai koLa mihu kariyatu vadikodu tanathadi vazhipadum avar idar kadi gaNapaty vara aruLinan" (umA took the form of female elephant and paramEswara took the form of big male elephant, he blessed us with gaNapathy who destroys the hurdles (problems) of those who worship his feet) it will be appropriate to see here the next LS nAmA also LS 78 mahA gaNEsa nirbhinna vighna yantra praharshitA Got happy when the vigna yantrA was destroyed by mahA gaNEsa She was happy because 1) vigna yantrA was destroyed 2) shakti army got its own nature (we will become our own real self if our tamasic guNAs are destroyed) 3) the reason for creation of gaNapaty was fulfilled 4) more over as a mother, her son completed a great task and helping her children 5) over and above he is going to help others in future whenever they face hurdles/ problems in their Atmic lives. In mantrOpadEsa, mahagaNapathy mantra is the first one to be taught (ofcourse after the gAyatri). whenever the guNAs like laziness, etc are creating hurdles in the path of our gnAnA (or intellect), to over come these guNAs, yOga helps us. the power of yOgA is mahAgaNapaty. he is the power of intellect (or gnAnA) to destroy all the vignAs (agnAnA). he gives us the power of yOgA/ power of intellect/ gnAnA. he is gnAnaswarUpi. from these three LS nAmAs (77, 442, 606), it is not only told that the mAtA is the mother of gaNEsa and kumArA, but also told about some other things that is what i feel. because, 1) the selection of letters (aksharAs) for her two sons (ka and ga) when thousands of nAmAs are there for them individually (please note trishati says this as lambOdara prasuvE), 2) the meaning of those namAs 3) the following nAmAs of these three nAmAs 4) the tasks the sons have completed (as per purANAs) 5) these two sons metnioned twice but muruga only mentioned with different names 6) the abhEda of the sons and the parents 7) the connection of manmatA with these two sons and their forms and names, etc other meanings are also given for these nAmAs guha janmabhU: guh - means sourrounded or encompassed by guha means the jIvAs who are sourrounded/ encompassed by avidhyA. these jIvAs have come from the dEvI as the sparklings from the fire. and hence she is guha janma bhUh kumAra gaNa nAtAmbhA 1) kumAra - hatefull (kutsita) group (group of mArAs - smara vihAras) nAtA - chief/ leader abhI - one who controls ambhA controls the leaders/cheifs of hatefull group 2) it is mentioned in varAha purANA that purushA is siva and vishnu, avyaktA is uma and lakshmi. due the combination of purushA and avyaktA, ahankArA is created. that ahankArA is called as guhA or sEnApathy. ambhA is one who controls those who have ahankArA. (for further clarification if required for these tatvAs plese refer the bhAshya or upAsakAs) apart from these meanings which we have seen above, some more inner meanings are also felt for these nAmAs. let us see those in the next part forgive me and correct me for my mistakes with many pranams vaidyanathan (please note that the basic meanings of LS are mainly taken from the book LS BhAshyA published by sri abhinava bhaskara trust, teynampet, chennai. they are NOT at all responsible for my blunders in my interpretations for those meanings and translation of LS nAmAs)
