Guest guest
Respected Arvind Ji, Very Well said, wonderful observation and is indeed true. Ambaa's unique ways of revealing Herself to the devotee cant be simply restricted to pure Vyakarana of LS and in that sense the explanation of LS could spring from a different route. even during the lifetime of SIR, many very well read scholars did not necessarily agree with His explanations, certain scriptures and these arose from his True inner experience. We are fortunate to have few members like these in our group. It is very hard to add more from a 'padArtha' word analysis aspect, unless you are a vyAkaraNa expert. On the other side there is infinite scope for bhAvArtha, we can quote from various sources and increase our bhakti through rAsikhyam and bhAvam. We expect that members share their insights into the names and how they apply to their lives. At the same time it is important that we familiarize with what the well known commentators have said on this topic. Many of us may not be in position to do an exact grammatical analysis. But I have found over time that one can get a better understanding of the name by reading its meaning in Sanskrit. By reading and re-reading and thinking about it, one can develop a good feel for the name. And there are published translations to help us in this endeavour. Thanks for your insight into this name and I found it very valuable. Cultivating the feelings such as maitrI and karuNa towards other beings is indeed a surest way to attain chitta shuddhi. And it is also the natural course of action to be taken if one truly believes that SHE is the indweller of all beings. Even if it takes time/lives to achieve that in practice, it is something worth starting. Thanks again and I wish you will write more often. With best wishes, Ravi
