In this mail I am providing the brief introduction about myself so as to join this group. My name is Balaji Ramamoorthy. I am currently studying MTech at IIT Kharagpur which I will soon be finishing. I hail from a Tamil Iyer family near Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu. I am 31 years of age and a ardent devotee of Maa Gayathri. In my opinion no person is a brahmin just because of his/her birth and only by devotion and japam to the Universal Mother can one become a brahmin and attain salvation. Iam interested in this group since I have always felt that I need more understanding regarding the sacred texts and wealth of knowledge that our traditional scriptures provide regarding the worship of our Mother. May Mother Gayathri bless us all in this endeavour and shows us the right way. Further I have read the requirements and conduct for joining this group and fully agree to abide by them. Thank you.
