Guest guest
Dear members, Vasantha Navaratri, as I know, has been observed in Northern parts of India for a long time and there are daily special pujaas conducted to Devine Mother. In Delhi, at Sri Kaamaakshi Temple (Opposite JNU), these special pujaas are performed everyday during the ten-day celebrations. Normally many devotees sponsor the abhishekaas and pujaas. Sri Lalithaa Sahasra Naama Archanai, Suvaasini Pujaa, and Kanyaa Pujaa are all performed and Sri Kaamaakshi Amman is beutifully decorated differently in each day. Of these decorations 'Saakhambari' is very popular in which Sri Kaamaakshi is Amman decorated with a lot of frseh green vegetables and fruits. On the tenth day, the celebrations conclude with the performance of Sahasra Chandi Homam. Similarly at Sri Katyaayini Temple (in Delhi) also the Vasantha Navaratri is celebrated during the ten days. Usuaally the ninth day coincides with Sri Rama Navami celebrations.
