Guest guest
Dileepan's posting on Andal prompted this - Thiruvadippoorathu is preceded by the following four lines : Kothai piRandha voor Govindan vazhumoor Neethiyal nallapaththar vazhumoor nAnmaRaigalothumoor Villipuththur vEdakkOnoor padangal theerkum paramanadikatti VEdamanaithukkum viththagum kothai thamizh iyandhumindhum aRiyadha manidarai vaiyam sumappadhum vambhu. ( I have not split the lines or words as they should be , writing it from my memory and do not recall the exact end of lines ) Azhagukku azhaghu sErtharpol ... There is a very fine praise of what Andal did - she herself personified beauty in terms normally understood by all and in joining Govinda showed what reallly is beautiful and endless other exalted attributes .. and this verse very beautifully praises her.
