Guest guest
This is regarding the "thIrththanE" of nammaazhwaar: Our sampradhaayam views perumaaL in several forms. The Hill itself is considered perumaaL in thirumalai, the jungle itself is considered perumaaL in naimichaaraNyam and the pushkariNi( thIrththam ) as perumaaL in pushkaram. i dont have the thiruvaaymozhi with me so i dont know the context or the dhivyadhEsam which nammaazhwaar refers to in this paadal. probably he refers to pushkaram or some other dhivya dhEsam where the pushkariNi has some special significance. this is just a thought. one interesting thing abt thirumalai is that in those days periya thirumalai nambi who was doing kaiNGgaryam at thirumalai used to climb the Hill by his knees so that he doesn't hurt the perumaaL by his feet! and he used to climb so daily it seems. -- Vijayaraghavan T.
