Could someone explain why MahaLakshmi is called 'Bilva NilayAm' in

Lakshmi-Ashtothram?(The verse is - BhaskarIm Bilva NilayAm.

VarArohAyashsvinIm.....)

I don't know of any puraic evidence, but, in the Srirangam Thayar sannidhi,

there is a Vilva tree which is considered sacred. There is also

a special day every year when they dig at the base of the tree with a golden

spade etc. I have forgotten the significance of that event.
