Sri Anand's criteria for joint action are more than

adequately met as the appeal was published in

Sri Nrusimha Priya. Sri Jaganath has pointed

this out and I wholeheartedly concur.

This theme of support for our Achaaryaas is preferrable

compared to individual action was earlier expressed by

Sri. Sumanth Kaushik. I am in complete agreement with this.

There is no better way to do this than support the fund raising

drive that is in full swing in India for the 71st thirunakshathram

of the Sri Lakshminrusimha Dhivya Paadhukaa sEvaka srivaN

satakOpa sri naaraayaNa yatheendhra maHAdhEsikan. The current

issue of Sri Nrusimhapriyaa highlights the contribution of

Rs. 1 lakh by Sri Sellappa of Nungambaakkam and a house he

jointly owns with his brother. The magazine also notes that

such a contribution by a middle-class individual is actually

worth several crores. Let us draw inspiration from such

great souls and participate in this unique opportunity to

serve our achaaryaa. Like Thirumangai AzhvAr says, "kulam

tharum selvam thandhitum," it is our Lord Sriman Narayana

who has given us the dollars and provides us the opportunity

to serve our Acharya. Let us make use of this opportunity.

If you are persuaded, make your tax-deductible check to

to Sri Ahobila Mutt, and mail it to Sri. Jaganath Bharadwaj,

5539 Columbia, Arlington, VA 22204.

BTW, the magazine also reports the award of 4 Gold Medals

and a cash award for Sri. K. Muralidaran, by University

of Madras. Sri. Muralidaran is a 93-94 Siromani graduate

from the Sri Mutt's Sanskrit College at Madhurandhagam.

Our Acharya, Srimad Azhagiya Singar, has announced that

He is taking up direct management control of this college.

Srimadhazhagiya Singar has also expressed His committment

for expanding the campus to include an Arts College and a

Polytechnique Institute. Needless to say that all these

require a tremendous amount of financial resources.
