Guest guest
SrI: Namaskaram! My name is Kalyani Krishnamachari. I got interested in this Bhakti group because my husband was getting hooked up to it every day! Both of us work in Lucent Technologies in Naperville, Illinois and are heavily involved with the religious activities in the Balaji Temple in Aurora, Illinois. I am looking forward to reading a lot of enlightening information through the Bhakti group emails. In fact, this might open up an avenue for me to ask some intriguing questions I have been having in my mind. I am in the habit of reading Srimad Valmiki Ramayanam (almost every day) and have read Bhagavatam and Bhagavad Gita (many times). The more I read, the more questions I have in my mind with no one to answer them. Is a Vaishnavite wife's place only with the family (leaving it all to the husband to obtain answers to all these soul-piercing questions) or can a Vaishnavite wife keep whetting her curiosities about scriptures, asking questions as and when they arise? The latter would probably be considered a taboo in India (at least the India I left in 1972). I hope this forum will allow me to freely ask my questions. As Lord Krishna tells Arjuna to go seek a guru and get all the answers, any one of you answering my questions will be considered by me as my guru. Thank you, Kalyani Krishnamachari
