Guest guest
Hello, I am continuing the ongoing series on thiruvallikkENi by posting the 10 pAsurams from periya thirumozhi. This is by our beloved sri thirumaN^gai AzhwAr as a maN^gaLAsAsanam on the thiruvallikkENi dhivya dhEsam. The first 9 of 10 pAsurams end with "thiruvallikkENi kaNdEnE". In the first portion AzhwAr talks about the greatness of the perumAl, his kalyANa guNAs, and expresses his immense pleasure. Then at the end he says, "I am blessed to have the dharshan of the perumAl at this exquisite place called thiruvallikkENi". (Based on Sri PB aNNaN^garAchAriyAr swamy's dhivyArththa dheepikai) periya thirumozhi - 2'nd paththu, 3'rd thirumozhi 1'st paasuram: viRperu vizhavum kaNYchanum mallum vEzhamum paaganum veezha, cheRRavan Rannai, purameri seydha sivanuRu thuyargaLai thEvai, paRRalar veeyak kOlkaiyil koNdu paartthanRan thErmunnNin Raanai, siRRavai paNiyaal mudithuRanN dhaanaith thiruvallik kENikkaN dEnE. When i told my grandfather that i am called Mr. Triplicane by the westerners here, he felt so happy that i have created an opportunity for these veLLaikArans (the whites) to atleast tell the name of the dhivya dhEsam. This was my grandfather's first response.
