Dear Bhakthas:

This is a appeal on behalf of Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Swamy Trust of

Mahalakshmipura in Bangalore. My mother, Smt Amrutha Iyengar, of

Malleswaram, Bangalore, requested me to post this appeal on behalf of this

trust.

The following is composed from a brochure isued by this Trust and signed by

Sr S.V.Krishnamoorthy Rao, the Hon. Secretary.

----------

This temple complex has been growing since 1973 when "The Lord appeared in

the form of oil paint on a rock". Now the complex occupies 13 acres,

contains meditation hall, library, and of course sanctums for the worship

of Sri Rama, Anjaneya (ie Hanuman) and others.

In May 1996, the complex opened a free medicare center to provide medical

facilities for the "economically weaker section of the public". Currently

it has on staff "one Doctor, Compounder, a lab asst. and one Ayah" and many

needy persons are availing of this service.

The trustees of the complex are requesting donations to run this medical

center. One example donation is to "deposit Rs. 10,000.00 in any

nationalized bank in Mahalakshmi layout in your name only and to authorise

the temple trust to receive interest on the deposit once in a quarter for a

period of 5 years".

Of course they are willing to accept other amounts of donation also. The

goal of this medicare facility is to provide *free* medical help to the

poor.

The address of this trust is:

Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Swamy Trust

Mahalakshmipura, Bangalore 560 086.

The phone number in Bangalore is 332-0727

They ask that cheques and drafts should be drawn in favour of Sri Prasanna

Veeranjaneya Swamy Trust, Bangalore.

-----------

If you have any questions feel free to email me and I'll try to get

answers. I prefer that you send any donations directly to the address given

and not to me. Mentioning that you saw this appeal through the internet

would likely thrill the Trust members.

Best wishes

Sriram
