Guest guest
Dear Prapatti Group Members: I appreciate Shree for sharing the note from his friend on Ganesha Pooja. The need for humility indeed is stressed. Like Franklin said humility is such a difficult virtue to attain - that when you have it you become proud of having obtained it! I must also hasten to point to Shree that the point raised by his friend have unfortunately nothing new in them. People who have patience, humility and a large heartedness to help the whole of humanity have deeply pondered over those points and come to firm conclusions. All I can say is: We must have faith in our tradition handed over to us by our parents. If you are a Sri- Vaishnava do what what your Acharyas or parents ask you to do. People like his friend who talk of a large heartedness are they willing to embrace Islam and Christianity. Where do we draw the line. Can we treat dust and deity the same ( just because everything is pervaded by Vishnu). Often in life we come across a situation where two wrongs do not make a right. Just because I don't show Ananya Bhava w.r.t my secular life does it mean I should do the same thing in my spiritual sadhanas. I am sure such thoughts as expressed by Shree's friend are easily accepted by every one. That's unfortunately the current trend.
