Guest guest Posted February 25, 1998 Report Share Posted February 25, 1998 There will be a total solar eclipse that will be visible (as a partial eclipse) in a semi circular line from the southern part of California going up all the way to the New Foundland. To see if your area is covered check out the website http://pao.gsfc.nasa.gov/gsfc/eclipse/eclipse.htm . The eclipse is roughly between 12:00 noon and 2:30PM EST on Thursday 2/26. Ideally one should have a bath and eat only after this time. For those who cannot follow this rule it is recommended that no food be eaten between 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM. If fresh food cannot be cooked after the eclipse time, it is recommended that darbai grass be placed on top of any cooked food. 9 planets are affected and it is recommended that one do japam as applicable to place time and circumstances.
