namaskaar,

This wonderful shloka by Swami Ramdas reminds us of how 'transient' life is.

> Guruji had written to me once that the only reason for all worries and

> frustrations is self centeredness. If we are able to think about others

> more rather than about ourselves then we would find that our worries

> dissappear.

> Shree, do thank Sunder for the wonderful work being done by him for

> translations without which we would not have been able to mull over

> anything or see with clarity why devotion to the lord is supremely

> essential in this world.

Many thanks to Sunderji, Srini, Giri & Shanti for contributing

for these postings. By sharing their thoughts with us they are actually

putting the Lord & others before themselves.

" When one takes shelter under the words of Saints, neither the

harsh sun, nor the stormy wind, nor the pelting rain have any power! "

Ultimately, it is the powerful writing of Swami Ramdas which goes

directly to the heart and makes us realize, at least for that split second

while we read it, how we waste our time in petty squabbles and selfish

desires. The mind which is always fickle and restless, needs constant

reminders to keep it on the right path. manobodhaH / manaache shloka

does just that.

May Lord Ram help us control our mind and remember Him, always.
