Your support for this Kaimkaryam has been overwhelmingly

positive . Most Recently , following bhakthAs have pledged

or sent additional contributions beyond those acknowledged

in earlier progress reports :

A total of 40 BhakthAs have now joined together to raise

$1650 against the original target of $1,400. The extra

$250 raised can only add to the creation of even more

beautiful Mutthangis for the Uthsavars , Sri Ponnappan

and His consort , Sri Bhumi Devi . We hope to send the

consolidated check to the Kaimkarya SabhA , which is

supervising the colelction of contributions from

BhakthAs in India and the construction of the Mutthnagi

by the well known artists , who have created similar

Mutthnagis for Srirangam , Kanchi , Thiruppathi

EmperumAns . The uniqueness of the AakAsa Nagareesa

Mutthangi Kaimkaryam is that both the divya dampathis

instead of Just the PerumAL will adorn the Mutthangis

presented by their children from wide and far .The check

for $1,650( Rupees 61,050 at the exchange rate of 37

rupees to a dollar ) will be sent during the first week of

April , 98 to Chennai .

 

I expect the presentation of the Mutthangis to be made

on Kaisika EkAdasi or Iyppasi SravaNam day ,when their

KalyANa uthsavam celebration takes place .

 

Once again , our thanks to Sri Sampath Rengarajan for the

reproduction and distribution of the two special tapes

to participants in this Mutthnagi Kaimkaryam . These tapes

celebrate the glories of the Divya Dampathis of

Oppiliappan Koil in text and song .It is a lot of work

for him and he hopes to get done in the next three

or four weeks . Thanks for your patience .

This kaimkaryam is being closed successfully as of

Next Tuesday , March 31 , 1998 .
