prabhau rakshake raamachandre shiraHsthe

bhavaachyaa bhaye kaaya bhiitosa la.nDii .

dharii re manaa dhiira dhaakaasi saa.nDii ..

raghuunaayakaasaarikhaa svaami shiirii .

nupekshii kadaa kopalyaa da.nDadhaarii .. 27..

 

%meaning

bhavaachyaa = cycles of birth & death

bhaye = fear

kaaya = what for

bhiitosa = afraid

la.nDii = coward

dharii = keep

manaa = oh, mind!

dhiira = courage

dhaakaasi = threat

saa.nDii = give up

raghuunaayakaasaarikhaa = the like of Rama

svaami = Lord

shiirii = forefront

nupekshii = not neglect

kadaa = ever

kopalyaa = angered

da.nDadhaarii = Yama, God of Death

Why fear , you coward! these cycles deaths and births,

Courage, oh my dear Mind! let go your fright,

With Rama's lordship in your life,

For your sake will He angry death despise .. 27..
