Adiyen alongwith adiyen's father Sri K.G.Krishnan & cousin Sri

RAghava Simhan proceeded to ThiruvaLUr . It was a very special day since

the "serthi" (*) of VeerarAghava PerumAL & Kanakavalli thAyAr took place.

Unfortunately , we started a bit late & were afraid whether the uttsavam

would have got over.

 

(*) serthi : PurappAdu (ie. Uttsava PerumAL coming out to bless the

devotees) of perumAL takes place five times a month - AmmAvAsai (New Moon

day) ; Pournami ( Full Moon day) ; MAsa pirappu ( starting of tamil month

) ; EkAdasi & day with "Sravanam" star . Adiyen is not very sure about

these five days . Sorry for the same . PurappAdu for thAyAr takes place

on every Friday . So , if it is Friday + one amongst 5 days of the month ,

"serthi" happens ie. both PerumAL & thAyAr combinedly has purappAdu .

 

We were very fortunate to have the darshan of the serti Uttsavam

,atleast in its concluding part. When we entered the temple , perumAL &

pirAtti were exactly in the entrance (on Their way back to Their

sannidhi). We became very happy & proceeded alongwith the Divya Dampati .

 

As thAyAr was going inside Her sannidhi , we also went in. Adiyen's

father told the archakar : " Parama BhAgyam. We were able to get the

darshan of PerumAL & pirAtti in their serthi uttsavam atleast in the last

minute " . Archakar replied : " When Their dear children are coming with

full love to see Them in serthi , why won't they wait ? Infact , the

Uttsavam somehow got delayed by 45 minutes (for starting) this time .

Adiyen understood the reason now ".

 

We were moved by the Divya Dampati's vAtsalyam for Their children

..Kaliyan has befittingly did the mangaLAsAsanam as "than adiyArkku Inian".

Many a times adiyen has heard in UpanyAsams & has read about the kalyAna

GunAs of PerumAL & pirAtti . But , when adiyen experiences them

practically , the joy knows no bounds , as it was the case that day. Divya

Dampati certainly reciprocates to our devotion . No doubt about it .Only

the eye of devotion is needed to perceive it. Adiyen very well understood

that it is purely because of adiyen's Grandfather Sri AdhyApakam

GopAlAchAryA , who did enormous kainkaryam to the Divya Dampati at

thiruvaLUr, that made the special mercy of the Divya Dampati fall even

upon this worthless self..

 

We then proceeded to thank perumAL for His dayA . VeerarAghavan is

our kula dhaivam & obviously we were very happy to be in His sannidhi.

Adiyen's saranAgati was going to be after two days (if alive ) . So ,

adiyen immensely thanked perumAL for giving the proper mind / J~nAnam

through His paramparA . Not everyone in this world knows properly about

prapatti . Hopefully everyone gets to know this soon & reach Sri

Vaikuntam.

 

We then proceeded to thirumalai, to get the blessings of the Lord Of

Seven Hills. We had the ArchanA sevai in the early morning ( usual

jarigandi only ). We again had the darshan in the SAtrumurai sevai .

Obviously , it is a delight for everyone to be in front of

ThiruvengadamudayAn . Adiyen was thinking about the anubhavams of AzhvArs

, kainkaryams of Udayavar (Bhagavad RAmAnujar) , Sri AnantAzhvAn ,Sri

Adivan Shatagopa Yateendra MahAdesikan & other AchAryAs . We then

proceeded to thiruchchAnUr & got the blessings of thAyAr.

 

The next Divya Desam visited was KAnchi ( "mukti tharum nagar Ezhil

mukkiyamAm kachi "). PeraruLALan is PeraruLALan . Varadan is always

special .Adiyen deeply thought about the pastimes of various AchAryAs (

Udayavar , NadAdUr AzhvAn , NadAdUr AmmAL , SwAmi Desikan .....) .

Adiyen was very fortunate to get the darshan of the mandapam where the

illustrious AchAryA NadAdUr AmmAL delivered KAlakshebams .

 

This was the first pilgrimage tour after landing at chennai . Now ,

adiyen was all set to perform the prapatti .

Sri Ananda Karalapakkam's anubhavam reinforces that : if GOD provides the

right family environment by either birth or by association, one will win

half the obstacles to attain GOD.

 

I request Sri Ananda Karalappam to write the next few articles on this

subject ASAP. How many folks can do bharanyasam after having the divine

darshanam's of archa murthy's. Even our Nammalwar as explained by Sri

Sadagopan, Madhavakannan & ofcourse our Nadadur Madhavan (ozhuvil kala

mellam.. in pittsburgh), did prapatti right to an archamurthi showing

archamurthy's perumai (or vaibhavam) instead of to ANTARYAMI RUPAM OR PARA

RUPAM which was accessible to NAMMALWAR.
