Guest guest
Dear Bhakthas, My humble pranams. This request is more personal in nature. It is not intended to hurt anybody's style or feeling. Of late, I have noticed a lot of writers using the letter 'Z' to sound like 'S' as in the word 'Sri'. In my opinion this is not any global standard. My humble observation is, when you look at THE word while you are reading the word 'Sri' as literally is more pleasing than to look at the word "Zri". The letter "S" by itself gives the required sound, so in my opinion we need not change the same. As Nammazhwar has written in his greatest compostion "ThiruvAimozhi", "KandOm, kandOm, kandOm, kaNNukku Iniyana kandOm", let us all agree to use the letter "S" to depict the sound of S in Sri just because the letter "Z" doesn't have any aesthetic touch in it. Once again it is only my observation and humble opinion. It is not intended towards hurting anybody's style. If you vote for this please start writing accordingly. If not please forgive me for writing this. AdiyEn RAmAnuja dAsan. Thirumalai Vinjamoor Venkatesh
