That day's Ubayam for thadi ArAdhanam (ie. bearing of the expenses met out that day to serve bhAgavathAs ) was taken by adiyen's father Sri K.G.Krishnan . Adiyen was highly surprised when some of them told that Srimad AzhagiyaSingar mentioned about adiyen in the UpanyAsam (while adiyen was in another room performing sankalpA etc) in regard with the sraddhA towards following sampradAyam even while present at USA, samAsrayanam article etc. SrikAryam swAmy kindly enquired about the performance of adiyen's thiruvArAdhanam to sALagrAma PerumAL. It was Sri kAryam swAmy who made arrangements to look out for the blessings of a sALagrAma perumAL at Hrusheekesh ( during sanchAram) , after the request of adiyen's father. This happend an year ago when adiyen was preparing for the journey to US. At that time , Srimad AzhagiyaSingar performed ThiruArAdhanam at Husheekesh for the SALagrAma PerumAL for four days & thereby blessed adiyen . PerumAL came along with a relative of Sri KAryam swAmy to chennai .. It was amazing that Sri KAryam swAmy still rememberd it & was very kind in enquiring about adiyen's anushtAnams. Srimad AzhagiyaSingar was merciful in ordering adiyen to have the Abhigamana ArAdhana prasAdam ( dhodhyOnam ie. curd rice) from the thiru madap paLLi , since the Ijyai ArAdhanam would take a long time (special Thirumanjanam is also there ). Eventhough adiyen wasn't hungry , adiyen went to the madap paLLi to honour the prasAdam ,for obvious reasons that, the words of AzhagiyaSingar are the divine commands & never in one's dream also can one dare to violate the words of one's AchAryA. Anyway adiyen didn't dare to enter the madap paLLi ( Kitchen area for cooking prasAdam) since one needs high degree of purity (physical + mental) to be there . Just waited outside of it. One of the kainkaryaparAs kindly came out & gave the prasAdam . Adiyen was still thinking about AzhagiyaSingar. H.H.Jeeyar wakes up by 4 A.M. or so & till Ijyai ArAdhanam is over , not even water would be consumed by the H.H.Jeeyar ! The ArAdhakAs for the Ijyai also don't drink even a drop of water . Where is the question of being hungry when one is deeply involved in many kainkaryams ? The kainkaryaparAs at Madap paLLi are literally being roasted by the fire. Already , the summer heat was around 40 degree Celcius. On top of this they were cooking according to the sAStrAs ( usage of wood etc for fuel since anything processed is unclean & can't be used in the service of MAlolan ie. natural substances like wood are always pure ). If they were to become lowkIkAs & cook for marriages etc , they would earn in lakhs ! Since they are sincere devotees of MAlolan , they perform kainkaryam only to Him & Srimad AzhagiyaSingar . From early morning the cooks have tremendous amount physical strain etc. Those who know the value of purity ( AchAram) in serving Sriman NArAyanA , can appreciate these things. The more one lacks the devotion , the more he swifts away from AchAram . Anyway , if AchAram is followed mechanically, instead of arising out from deep love towards Sriman NArAyanA to keep up with the good standard of serving , it is also not a good stage. Sri Narasimhan , the cousin of adiyen's father was present that day. He was very much moved by the divine sevai of MAlolan & other perumALs & was very happy about adiyen's SaranAgati (ie. prapatti). Adiyen can never forget the highly moving words of Sri Narasimhan , which came from the bottom of his hearts & his eyes being filled with tears told " Enna AshcharyamAna sevai ! Ipperpatta sampradAyathla porakkiradhukku evvaLavu bhAgyam pannirukkomO ; evvaLavu bhAgyam ...<his voice got choked> " ( What a wonderful sevai < referring to the archA thirumeni's of MAlolan & other perumALs > ! What a great bhAgyam to be born in such an illustrious sampradAyam ! What a great bhAgyam ...<his voice got choked> ) . Everyone can imagine the situation that prevailed there with the pastimes of our AchAryAs (avatAra purushAs) flashing in our minds . The sweet pAdukAsahasram pArAyanam by strIs got over . Thirumanjanam for all the perumALs started to the delight of all the devotees . It was a very grand day indeed ! Veda & Divya Prabandha goshams were excellent . Afterwards ,all the devotees honoured the most precious Nrusimha prasAdam ( Thadi ArAdhanA ) . Then , adiyen proceeded to get the blessings of Srimad AzhagiyaSingar & receive the MantrAkshadai . AzhagiyaSingar with his characteristic sweet smile enquired : " ThrupthiA IrundudhA ? EvvaLavu dhooram ankendhu idukkAkaththAne vandirukka . sandhOshamA ? " ( " Are you satisfied ? You have come all the way for this right ? Are you happy now ? " ). Adiyen as usual replied : "adiyen adiyen " for each question (this conveys everything ). Then AzhagiyaSingar told with great emotion : "Enna AscharyamAna perumAL !! Ipperpatta EmberumAnukku nAma dAsanA irrukkaththukku evvaLavu kuduththu vechchirukkom ! ella ? " ( "What a glorious ( Ascharyam) Lord !! We are highly fortunate for being a dAsA of such a great EmberumAn . Is'nt it so ? " . Adiyen was in all smiles ..... Then , adiyen alongwith adiyen's father & Sri Narasimhan went straight to prostrate unto Sri Purushai swAmy . The time was aroung 3.30 pm or 4.00 pm . Adiyen's father recollected the times of Srimad Injimettu AzhagiyaSingar during which it would take around this time for honouring prasAdam & taking leave from AzhagiyaSingar . Purusai swAmy was very happy & kindly conversed with us for a while . --- to be cont--- Namo NArAyanA Adiyen Anantha PadmanAbha dAsan Sarvam Sri KrishnArpanamastu
