Kanchipuram MaNavALa mAmunigaL sannadhi renovation

Dear BhagavathAs,

 

The following is an appeal for funds for the renovation

of Sri. MaNavALa mAmunigaL sannadhi in VaradarAjar temple

at Kanchipuram.

 

Recently, Sri.T.V. Venkat and myself got a message from

bhAgavathAs @ Kanchipuram regarding the renovation of the

sannadhi. This sannadhi is probably one of the oldest

maNavALA mAmunigaL sannadhis in the world - Not only that,

this is located in the VaradarAjar temple in Kanchipuram. It

is here that all the azhagiya maNavALa jIyars performed

kainkaryam to our beloved AchAryan and VaradarAjan.

To this day, maNavALa mAmunigaL in this sannadhi is showering

AchArya krupa on all of us. This is the sannadhi, where

during the maNavALa mAmunigaL sAtrumurai every year (the 10

days leading to aiyppasi mUlam and the mUlam day), hundreds of

bhAgavathAs, and numerous contemporary AchAryAs congregate to

pay their respects and show their affection towards this

kindest AchAryan.

 

The detailed estimates for the different renovation

activities are as follows (all amounts in Indian Rupees).

 

ESTIMATION :

1)Old front mandapam - 1,56,000

2) Outer support wall for entire temple - 2,04,000

3) Flooring, re-Laying the front mandapam - 1,42,000

4)Electrification - 75,000

5) Weathering course for new mandapam - 56,000

6) Weathering course for old mandapam - 46,000

7) Reconditioning madapalli - 56,000

8) Wood work - 42,000

9) Painting - 30,000

 

Total comes around 8,07,000 + Others = 9,00,000.

 

Part of the 9,00,000 Rs. (approx. 22500$) has been collected

in India and the work is proceeding.

 

It would be of great help to the bhAgavathAs who are doing

in this kainkaryam if we can contribute as much as possible

towards renovating the sannadhi. AdiyEn thinks $3000 is not an

an unreasonable goal for this. AdiyEn requests all bhAgavathAs to

participate in this kainkaryam.

 

 

The samprOkshaNam of the new sannadhi is going to take place

on Aug. 26. Obviously, we do not have a lot of time.

in the interests of time, contribute the equivalent to Thondarkulam
