Telephone Upanyasam by H.H. Srimad Poundarikapuram Andavan Swami

Dear Bhagavatas,

It gives me great pleasure to go on record that the Anugraha BhashaNam

by H.H. Srimad Andavan Swami of Srimad Poundarikapuram Ashramam was

a resounding success. Part 2 of the Upanyasam will take place next

Saturday, Jan 9, 1999, between 10.30 am-11.30 am (EST) which will mark

the completion of the address by H.H. Feedback received from

various listeners can be succinctly summarized as "Outstanding

Upanyasam". One Bhaktai indicated that she was moved to tears and

that it was like a live experience of "Lord Narayana" in her

residence.

Today is a red letter day in the history of Srimad Poundarikapuram

Ashramam since technology enabled us to hear the Sri Sookthis of the

Acharya in the comfort of our living rooms in the USA, transcending

geographical barriers. This was possible entirely due to the grace of

the Divine Couple, the compassion of the Acharya, and the untiring

efforts of U.Ve. Sri V.N. Venkatanathan Swamin, U.Ve. Sri M.K. Ramaswami

Iyengar Swamin, and U.Ve. Sri Rajagopalan Swamin. Adiyen

is most grateful to the board members of Sri Ahobila Muth, USA for

their support, and for their efforts in reserving the teleconferencing

bridge.

All those who signed up for today's Upanyasam have automatically

been signed up for next Saturday. There is NO EXTRA CHARGE for hearing

part 2 of the Upanyasam. Please pay attention to the comments of

Sri Dileepan Swamin with regard to maintaining pin-drop silence for the

duration of the Upanyasam. Adiyen concurs with his sentiments and

requests that those who need to provide mini Bhashyams or Upanyasams

record the address of H.H. and give their commentary offline upon

completion of H.H.'s address.

Sri Sadagopan Swamin: It is Adiyen's request that you provide

a summary of both part 1 and part 2 of the Upanyasam in your imitable

style. As always it is marvellous to see your careful attention to

details.
