Guest guest
Dear bhAgavathas, In continuing with our series of postings under the banner of Andhra abhimAna sthalam kainkaryam project, I am happy to share information on the availability of books in Telugu about our satsAmpradayam. These books have been published by or are available through an organization that Sri Vinjamuri Srimahavishnu recently visited, the Ubhaya Vedanta Sabha of Pentapadu, which is located in the West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. The Sabha has among its membership two noted scholars, Sriman N.V.L.N. Ramanujacharyulu and his brother, Sriman K. S. Ramanujacharyulu. Sri Srimahavishnu will be writing about the life and contributions of both these scholars in the near future as part of the kainkaryam project. The books that the Sabha currently has available are as follows: 1.BhagavadgItA sarvasvam with Telugu translation to MaNavALa MAmunigaL's sanskrit commentary. 2.SrIbhAshya sangraham 3.TaittirIyOpanishat,SikshAvalli,Bhruguvalli,Anandavalli 4.DhanurmAsa sarvasvam. 5.archana with 29 ashtOttara satanAmastOtras. 6.lakshmI stOtra maNi manjari 7.SrI GuNa ratna kOSam with Telugu tIkA. 8.sangraha prapanna dinacharya 9.SrI lakshmI nArAyaNa sahasra nAmam with nAmAvaLi 10.sudarSana Satakam with Telugu tIkA 11.divya dEsa vaibhava prakAsika with 120 color photos 12.abhIti stavam of VEdanta DESikar Future works will include a Telugu transliteration of nAlayira divya prabhandam. Some of you may recall our attempts at trying to provide this transliteration last year, which unfortunately did not succeed due to difficulties in locating these texts. Now that we have direct contact to the Sabha, this should not pose a problem in the future. The minimum suggested donation for each of these titles (some of them are more than one volume) is $11, which will cover printing and mailing charges, as well as provide some donation for the maintenance of the Sabha. Checks for the total amount should be made payable to Thondarkulam and sent to: Thondarkulam c/o Mohan R Sagar 1239 South Boston Street Denver CO 80231 Sri Srimahavishnu will make arrangements in India to ensure that the books are provided in a timely manner. I ask those of you interested in one or more of these titles to please contact me <msagar with your name and mailing address, and the names of the books that you will be interested in receiving. Thanking you in advance, adiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan Mohan

Sri Manavala Maamunigal's commentary on the Gita, if he did at all write one, is not extant today. In his edition of Maamunigal's works, Sri Kanchi P.B. Annangarachariar Swami mentions the possible existence of this work at one point in time, but that it is not extant today. He also mentions that some people have published something that that they say is Maamunigal's commentary, but after extensive research, he has concluded that it is clearly not the work of Manavala Maamunigal. Just FYI. Mani
