Dear Bhagavathas,

 

Sri Ramanuja Mission of Srirangam Srimad Andavan Periyaashramam is quite

pleased with the responses received regarding Sri Desika Sthothra Mala CDs.

We would like to follow up our previous announcement with a list of titles

included in the first three volumes.

 

Volume 1/6: 10 Titles – 126 Sanskrit Slokas (73:36):

 

The rose color of the jewel case insert has been selected to reflect the

lotus eyes of Sriman Narayana (“sengan thiru mugaththu” - Tiruppavai) and

includes brilliant photographs of Sri Ranganatha Divya Dampathi, Sri Lakshmi

Hayagreevar, and Lord Sri Sudarshana, apart from Swami Sri Desikan and Sri

Ramanujar. The titles, number of slokas, and time for each title is

Volume 2/6: 4 Titles – 195 Sanskrit Slokas (73:40)

 

The golden-yellow cover of the jewel case insert reflects the color of

Thayaar ("hiranya varnaam harineem" – Sri Suktham). All four titles in this

volume are related to Thayar (Sri Devi, Bhoo Devi, Goda Devi, and Daya

Devi). The insert includes pictures of Sri Ranganachiar, Sri Andal, and

Lord Sri Venkateshwara (Daya). The following 10 tracks are included in

Volume 2:

The jewel case insert of Volume 3 is blue to represent neela vanna kannan

and includes pictures of Lord Devanatha at Tiruvahindhrapuram. The

following 10 tracks are included in Volume 3:

Please note that volumes 4, 5, and 6 of Sri Desika Sthothra Mala include the

remaining 10 titles and 402 slokas. The recordings for volumes 4, 5, and 6

are nearing completion and we are planning to release them by the end of

this year (with Bhagavath Sankalpam, we MAY be able to release them on Sri

Desika Thiru Nakshathiram in October ’99.)
