Recent Questions from Bhagawathas for contributing in India

 

After Smt. Nagu Satyan's posting about SriVaishnava Seva Samithi, we have

had quite a few personal requests from bhaagawathas living in India to

provide information for their participation in kainkaryams. We are

outlining below the various schemes which are currently being implemented:

 

Options for Contributions through SVSS

 

1. For US and Canada residents, contributions can be made every quarter a

fixed

amount of money through authorized automatic bank transfer ($25, $50, $75,

$100, $125, $150, $200, $250, $300, Etc.).

 

2. For USA and Canada residents, Remittance of Contributions by

personal Cheques, Quarterly or at any Convenient Intervals.

 

3. New Option for Bhagawathas from India and Other Countries -

Remittance of Contributions through Non-Resident Accounts in India.

 

An account is being opened in Canara Bank, Bangalore under the name of

"SriVaishnava Kainkarya Sabha" for the purpose of transmitting/disbursement

of funds from USA as well as for remitting money in India.

 

We are in the process of creating a trust in India under the name

Srivaishnava Kainkarya Sabha and planning to obtain 80G Tax Exempt

Status. We will be soon opening an account in Canara Bank, Chamarajpet,

Bangalore to facilitate NRIs and local Srivaishnavas to remit to this

account for disbursement to a legitimate Srivaishnava cause of choice. Just

like SVSS in USA has monthly/quarterly transfer feature, we may be

providing the same capability for others in India, mid east and Singapore.

 

We are finalizing a trust document for submittal to the Bank and Indian

Tax Officials. We expect the 80G TAx Exempt approval by Indian Govt to

take some time.
