Dear BhakthAs :

Sri Mohan Sagar recently mentioned that he needed

the meaning of the important ThiruvAimozhi Paasuram

1.3.1 that we just covered as the third Paasuram of

Sri MaNavALa Maamuni's Thiruvaimozhi NooRRanthAdhi.

This posting will serve as a companion piece .

>Context :In the first two decades of ThiruvAimozhi , Swami

>NammAzhwAr saluted the parathvam or the Supreme Eminence

>of Sriman NaarAyaNan . He performed UpadEsam for others

>on the Parathvam of our SarvEsvaran . As Swami NammAzhwAr

>arrived at the third decade , his mind was filled with

>the thoughts of His soulabhyam (ease of access by every one)

>and the very thought of this KalyANa GuNam threw the AzhwAr

>into a trance that lasted for six months .He woke up at

>the end of the trance and went on to celebrate the anantha

>KalyANa GuNams of the Lord in the rest of the decades

>of his ThiruvAimozhi .

>He is readily accessible to those BhakthAs , who long

>to have His darsanam .This way , He is the easiest of access

>to those , who yearn for Him .For others , who do not have

>Bhakthi , He is not accessible at all. Please think about

>His generous disposition ! Please reflect on what happened

>to this Supreme Lord - whom MahA Lakshmi herself longs

>to perform Kaimkaryams - when He grew up as the son of

>YasOdhA at Gokulam ! One day , He stole butter, when His mother

>was not looking , got caught in the act and was tied up to a mortar

>as a punishment for that stealing and got beaten by her .

>He stayed still as a companion to that achEthanam , the wooden mortar

>to which He was tied to . He controlled His tears at that time

>out of fear that His mother will beat Him further for crying.

>

>How can we describe this act of our sarvEswaran ? Was n't that

>enough satisfaction for Him to be born in the family of

>Cowherds concealing His Parathvam as the Lord of the Universes?

>What is all this ? Should You be tied to a mortar , threatened

>and beaten by a mere mortal, who was blessed to have You as

>her dear child ? Did you behave in this manner to display

>Your Soulabhyam ?
