Guest guest
SrI: NarayananE namakkE parai tharuvAn Dear Bhagavataas: Adiyen wishes to share the excitement on reading Swami Desikan's "Mum manik kovai" In this work, Swami Desikan's 'definition' of our Lord is simply simple - and great! The 7th Paasuram reads like this: "payin madhi nEyA payin madhi tharudhalin velliyun nEyA vellyura nirralin thAyum nEyA sAyai thandhugathalin thandhaiyum nEyA mundhi ninru allithalin uravum nEyA thurava ozhidhalin urradhum nEyA sirrinbam inmaiyin Arum nEyA Aarruk allithalin aramym nEyA mara nilai mAythalin thunaivanum nEyA inai ilai Adhalin thuyyanum nEyA seyall uraidhalin kAranam nEyA nAranan Adhalin karpagam nEyA narpadham tharudhalin iraivanum nEyA kurai onru ilamaiyin inbaum nEyA thunbam thudaithalin yAnum nEyA ennul urai thalin enadhum nEyA unadhanri inmayin nallAyai nEyA pollAng illAyAmayin vallAyai nEyA vaiyam undu umizhdhalin enganamagumeyya nin viyappe anganayokka arivadhAranamE" Swami clearly establishes that our Lord is EVERYTHING - our lord is our father, mother and infact our Lord is the basis [kAranam] for everything. Our Lord is might is described because he can swallow and throw the universe back - "vallai nEyA vaiyam undu umizhdhalin". Adiyen did shed some tears on reciting this pAsuram the first time. Our Lord has been consistently showing his sowlabyam and kArunyam in being with us and protecting us. Adiyen's basic understanding gave an exciting feeling and Adiyen is sure learned bhagavataas in the group will be able to throw more light on Swami's anubhavam. Adiyen requests bhagavataas to share their view / learning on this pAsuram for the benefit of all bhagavataas.
