Guest guest
dear gita group members, Sri Ramudu has indicated that using a chat group it is possible to do our gita class. Let us try that while we still can use the bridge simultaneously. see details below. I will post more on how to get to chat room later. There will be a Telephone gita class on Nov 5th. the subject will be : Chapter 12. Incidentally, ie. first 5 shlokas of 12th chapter are the one of the most interesting shlokas with MOST DIVERGENT COMMENTARIES. The term "akshara" needs to be understood properly. Please go through all the shlokas from chapters 1 through 12 to find the meaning of term akshara in various commentaries. Without proper study it will be very tough to understand why Sri Ramanuja explains these verses in that manner. I would like to remind you to study the available commentaries on these verses before the next class on NOV 5th sunday. duration 4-5:30 PM pacific time 7-8:30 pm eastern std time If you need the code for the conference call let me know adiyen krishna Krishna Kalale NOTE THE EMAIL BELOW. I WILL TRY TO WORK WITH MR. RAMUDU TO SEE IF GITA LECTURES LIKE THAT ARE POSSIBLE. thanks. ramudu [sMTP:ramudu] Thursday, December 30, 1999 8:29 PM bhakti Srimad Bhagavat Gita Dear Krishna Kalale and Bhakta Siromanis, There is a free voice chat software that we can try the next time there is Bhagavat Gita Teleconference, in addition to what you are having. The link for that is http://www.excite.com/communities/chat/voicechat/rooms If you page down it says "Enter a room name to go to an existing room to create a temporary room! " We have created a chat room called "Nivedana" and tested it. One can create his/her own Chat room. For example you can create chat room called "BhagavatGeetha" if it is not already taken. This is a free service. We are scheduling an audio conference to thoroughly test this weekend. The chat room that will be used is "Nivedana" ( without the double quotes ) The conference will be held at 8:30 AM Central Standard Time US on Saturday December 4th 1999. The discourse is given by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji. We should also try this voice chat next time Krishnaji has a Geetha class along with the Teleconference that is going on. The SDK is available from www.lipstream.com. Software gurus of bhakti-list can incorporate it into the our homepage and we can have a Virtual Internet Acharya (eAcharya) answering the questions of inquisitive minds. Sounds like fun? No it is not, this is a true fact.
