The entire hall was vibrating. It sounded as if the the roof was all giving its way. It was as if several powerful explosions began to occur in a synchrnosied way simultaneously for the next 45 minutes. Every one were walking slowly as Sri nammAzwAr's ascendance on the silver lining of the path continued slowly in oyyAra nadai. The bearers held the pallakku in their hands and not on shoulders to symbolise kaitthAngal sEvai. As each and every line was thundered in muzhakkam, even iron heart started to extract water in their eyes. "irumbAna ithayangaL kooda eeram kasinthathu ippOthuthAn". Slowly the ascendance was inching and there were wet eyes every where. For some the words will not come out their mouth and instead the water was pouring from their eyes. Even those who do not know tamil cried. There were so many water falls from so many eyes as everyone of them was pouring and making niagara falls smaller. The patthARu made upto 64 feet and there was a left over portion of the path uncovered. adiyEn threw my shAlvai to cover the last few feet of the silver path prior to ascendance. As the ascendance reached towards the last but one pasuram of the last pathigam, the gOshti was stopped and "thirai" or screen was put. Sri nammAzhwAr was now within half feet from perumAL. Even after the gOshti was stopped the water in the eyes of many could not. The outpouring continued for many with "thEmal" and words would not come out. Some were shell shocked and words will not come out. Inside the thirai Sri nammAzhwAr first did prostration for perumAL. Then his head was kept on the feet of Sri namperumAL. 5 cartons of thulasi arrived during the whole day. Thanks to many volunteers from Boston, california, Florida, canada etc..Sri nammAzhwAr was covered with "thulasi" completely. Some of the bAgawathAs put thulasi inside the thirAi on Sri nammAzhwAr. The heap of thulasi mountain came upto the hip of Sri namperumAL. After this the thirai was opened. Now SrinammAzwAr was completely covered and it was as if he has vanished. Sri bAlAji bhattar appealed the aruLappAdu as "Sri Ramanuja adiyAr's vinnappam. for lOka kshEmam SrinamperumAl must give us back Sri nammAzwAr". He pleaded a few times. Then Sri namperumAL pronounced "thanthOm, thanthOm thanthOm". Three people hiding behind perumAL gave this divine voice and it sounded as if these voices are actually coming from SrinamperumAL HIMself. The screen or "thirai" was put and the perumAL and others were covered again. Sri nammAzhwAr was erected vertical, clearing all the thulasi and was seated at the feat of perumAL. The thirai was opened. The aitheekam was such that Sri nammAzwAr was performing a vishEsha ArAdhanam at Srivaikundam. A vishEsha arAdhanam was performed on behalf of Sri nammAzwAr to Sri namperumAL. Now, the thulasis that covered Sri nammAzwAr were given in heaps to all the bAgawathas as a special and vishEsha prasAdham. This time an aruLappAdu was issued to the gOshti to bring back Sri nammAzhwAr. Sri nammAzhwAr was mounted on the pallakku again quickly. As a mark of his visit to Sri viakundam he was adorned with the thulasi malai of Sri nam perumAL for his return journey to boolOgam. The gOshti began the thaniyan and then kanninum sirutthAnmu pathigam. The gOsthi was this time breaking the skies and dEvas were all assembled to see this kan koLLak kAtchi of Sri nammAzhwAr coming back to boolOgam. will continue......
