Guest guest
Dear Bhakti List Members: As a continuation of the topic "Abhimana Sthalams in Andhra Pradesh", I would like to write about Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamyvari Devasthanam in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamyvari Devasthanam is located in Ramachandra Pura Agraharam of Guntur town in Guntur, AP. It is learnt that this temple was established approximately 650 years ago. It is believed that Sri Swamy Varu appeared in a dream of a bhakta Sriman Vangipuram Venkatacharya and informed him that the Lord was located in a cave in the hills of Konda Veedu and that He should be retrieved from this location and established at Ramachandra Pura Agraharam temple (the present location). In accordance with the wishes of the Lord Narasimha Swamy, Sriman Venkatacharya and his friends brought the Lord from Kondaveedu and established Him in the present location. In this temple, the temple of Sri Rajyalakshmi Devi, temple of twelve Alwars, temple of Garuda and Anjaneya Swamy, Mukha Mandapam, Kalyanmandapam are also located. With lofty compund wall, the temple is one of the Holy places in AP. In the month of Chaitra, the Kalyanotsavam is celebrated with gaiety and piousness for nine days from the seventh day (Saptami) to fifteenth day (Purnima) Chaitramasam. Adhyanotsavams are celebrated in Pushyamasam during Dhanurmasa Utsavams (Dec 15th to Jan 15th). In Sravana Masam, Pavitrotsavams are celebrated from dasami to purnima of Sravanam. All the Tirunakshatrams are celebrated. Heriditary archaka Swamy's perform the daily aradhana of Swamyvaru. adiyen rAmAnuja dAsan, Venkata Yatiraj Anand ____
