Adiyen learnt this from the examples of Madhurakavi Azhwar, KUrathazhwar,.... Does this also hold for service to one's parents ? adiyen's doubt springs from " mAthru devO bhava, pitru devO bhava, acharya devO bhava" Please forgive adiyen for wrong spellings & pronounciation deficiencies in the above quote.
