Guest guest
Dear Shree Vaishnavas, This is M.S.HARI Raamaanuja Daasa sending reply for certain mails regarding lot of doubts as far as "Anya Devata Worship" is concerned. Please make a note of the following points. A person who (is called Mumukshu) likes to get "Moksha" cannot worship any Devata otherthan Shreeman Naaraayana because Shreeman Naaraayana alone can grant the "Moksha". Shreeman Naaraayana alone is worshiped by all karmas and he alone grants all four purushaarthas. Worshiping "Anya Devata" is to be totally avoided by Prapanaas as it will destroy the effect of "Prapati". The basis of "Maha Visvasam" gets shaken if one goes for "Anya Devata" in prapati. In Nitya/Naimitika karmas, the names of Anya Devatas are to be understood to mean only Shreeman Naaraayana as all words finally denote Shreeman Naaraayana only as Vishnu is the soul of everything. Therefore in Nitya/Naimitika karmas there is no Anya Devata worship. Regarding the "Aaditya Hrudayam" in Raamaayana: "Aaditya Hrudayam" has certain portions which are against Veda. In the ancient commentry of Utari on Valmiki Raamaayana, this Sarga is not at all present where Aaditya Hrudayam occurs. Therefore it is clear that it is only a latter inclusion by certain unwanted elements to create confusion. It is not to be considered as written by Valmiki. Similarly I hear few telling that Rama worshiped Siva at Rameswaram. This is against Valmiki Raamaayana. Raama told Sita when they were returning back to Ayodya after killing Raavana in Puspaka vimana. Rama pointed out to Sita all the places down and told her what happened. He mentioned "Atra Poorvam MahaDevaha Prasaadam Akarot Prabhu:". Few take this to mean "There (Now Rameswaram) Mahadevan (Siva) the Lord did mercy and blessed me". As Raama was telling to Sita what happened before, there is not mention by Valmiki that Raama worshiped Siva before the war. The term "Mahadeva" is a common noun which can denote any devata. Here it is to be taken only to mean "Samudra Rajan" who appeared before Raama. Therefore Rama did not worship Siva which is false story. Anya Devata Worship is like poison. I suggest that one may read "Naanmukan Tiruvandadi" of Tiru Malizai Alwar and "Tiru Vaimozhi" of Namalvar for further clarrifications. Please write to me if you have any questions or doubts. Thanks & Regards M.S.HARI Raamaanuja Daasan. __________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=
