dear bhagavthas,

i have a question silly as it may seem.

i wish to clarify how prapatti is established by sri

ramanuja on the basis of srimad bhagavad gita. why i

ask this is when krsihna says in 18th cahpater that he

is going to tell the secret of all secrets he says two

verses: sarvadharman...... and then man man bhava mad

bhakto.......

a)here the first verse endorses prapatti while the

second verse endorses bhakti. so which of these to is

guhyad guhyatamam?

b) secondly the last instruction by sri krishna in

bhagavad gita to arjuna is to become a bhakta and

prapatti is stated prior. so which statement is to be

considered more emphatic.

Dear Sri bhagavatas,

In his reply, to sri L.Kumar,Sri A.Bharat has said that The simple

answer is that-both have GnAna as

swarUpa as well as quality;except that for Brahma both are infinite, whereas

for Atman(in his free state) only the quality is infinite.

he has quoted emperumanar for the above. but emperumanar has said in one of

his works that emperuman is nirguna brahmam. doesnt the above contradict?

can somebody explain this?

Regards,

Anand.

Dear SrI Anand VAsudEvan,

Please go through the article Re: Mutual Exclusion 1

in the July 1999 archives :

This will be an additional information to that of

SrI Hari's short and crisp answer.
