Dear Shree/Shreemathi Anitha Seshadri,

I answer your questions/clarify your doubts as follows:

1. Roopam and Sareeram are Synonyms, Word with the same meaning. There

is not difference between roopam and sareeram.

2. The Brahman is Vishnu - Vaasudeva - Shreeman Narayanan - Purushothama:

(All these names denote Lakshmi Pathi only). You have to clearly understand

that there are two realities - "Swaroopam" and "Roopam". "Swaroopam" is that

which is possessing Identifying qualities/attributes.

To define "Swaroopam", "Swaroopa NirUpa: Dharma Visista: Swaroopa:"

"Roopam" is possessed by "Swaroopam". Brahma Swaroopam is declared

by the Veda as "Satyam Jgnyaanam Anantam Brahma" meaning Brahman's

"nature-reality" is of unchanging, sentient, infinite charecteristics.

This Brahma Swaroopam has all chit and achit entites as his Roopam

(Sareeram). Swaroopam is different from Roopam. The Ubhaya-Vibhuthi

(material worlds (leela-vibhuthi) and the divine world (nitya vibhuthi)

which is Shree Vaikunta Paramapadam - all chit and achits) is the

Roopam/Sareeram of Brahma Swaroopam - meaning the Ubhaya-Vibhuthi is

supported, controlled and owned by Brahman and the Ubhaya-Vibhuthi

exists for the purpose of Brahman. Therefore the Ubhaya-Vibhuthi is

"Aprutak-Sidha-Viseshanam" - inseparable attribute of Brahma Swaroopam

as its Sareeram. The Divya Mangala Vigraham (Vigraham also means Roopam)

is also a Achit which is of the type "Suddha Satvam - divine -

Subhaasraya - the achit having only Satva Guna and devoid of

rajas and tamas". This divya mangala Vigraha is also a Roopam of

Vishnu in five modes namely para, vyuha, vibhava, Haarda and archaa.

After this explanation, one may get a doubt! Who is God? Is it the

swaroopa or roopa? The answer to this question is simple and it is

as follows: The one and only God is Brahman - Vishnu who is qualified by all

chit and achit. That is why Shreeman Vedanta Desika in his

Nyaaya Sidhdaanjanam opens his work as "Asesha Chit Achit Prakaaram

Brahma Ekam Eva Tatvam" meaning the only Tatvam is Brahman having

all chit and achit tatvas as his mode/sareeram/attribute.

Hope your doubts are clarified. Please write to me if you have further

doubts.

Thanks & Regards

M.S.HARI Ramanuja Daasan.
