Guest guest
Sri Raamajayam Dear Bhagavathaas, AdiyEn derived great joy in meeting Bhagavathaas in NJ, last year. To the pleasant surprise of AdiyEn, Lord Srinivasa was decked in garlands of Thulasi at the temple in Boston. AdiyEn being curious, how the temple could possibly manage to grow such "rich thulasi" there, proceeded to ask Sri.Muralidhar Rangaswamy Swamin, about the source. Well the source is a Vietnamese Shop, which Vietnamese use for cooking(well that reminds me, a Italians adoring Basilikum, a close sister of Thulasi for most of their culinaries). Well this happened several months back, and AdiyEn returned to Bay Area, without further investigation on this topic locally. Last weekend AdiyEn made an effort to visit local Vietnamese Grocer, and it was gratifying to find FRESH THULASI LEAVES bunched and sold for mere 50cents for a fairly large bunch. The whole of this week, was gratifying with Nitya Aaradhanai decorating our Divya Dhampathi's, Acharya Paadhukai with the Fresh Thulasi(fresher than what is available in shops at Madras & elsewhere). Wanted to share this knowledge with you, so that Temples/homes can benefit from this facility.
